Topic: The Spirituality of the Westminster Divines
Chad Van Dixhoorn (PhD, Cambridge University) is Professor of Church History and Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte and serves as an honorary research fellow at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK and adjunct faculty with the Reformed House of Studies at Wycliffe College. Born and raised in Ontario, he has held a number of additional teaching and pastoral positions, including as associate pastor at Cambridge Presbyterian Church (UK) and at Grace Presbyterian Church (Vienna, VA) for nine years.
Topic: Spirituality and Ethics
Irwyn Ince (DMin, Covenant Theological Seminary) serves as the coordinator of Mission to North America (PCA) and adjunct professor of pastoral theology for Reformed Theological Seminary. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Ince helped to plant City of Hope Presbyterian Church in Columbia, MD, and later pastored at Grace DC Presbyterian Church. He is the author of The Beautiful Community: Unity, Diversity, and the Church at Its Best and Hope Ain’t a Hustle: Persevering by Faith in a Wearying World.
Topic: The Legacy of Reformed Spirituality
Kristen Deede Johnson (PhD, University of St. Andrews) is Dean and Vice President of Academic Affairs and G. W. and Edna Haworth Professor of Educational Ministries and Leadership at Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan, and the incoming Principal of Wycliffe College (summer 2025). She teaches and writes in the areas of theology, culture, formation, and political theory. She is an award-winning author and her previous publications include Theology, Political Theory, and Pluralism: Beyond Tolerance and Difference.
Topic: The Spirituality of the Early English Reformation
Michael A.G. Haykin (ThD, Wycliffe College, University of Toronto), FRHistS, is chair and professor of church history at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, Director of the Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies, and the Reformed House of Studies' Senior Research Fellow at Wycliffe College. Dr. Haykin is also on the core faculty of Heritage Seminary, Cambridge, Ontario, where he is the professor of church history, and leads the Canadian office of the Andrew Fuller Center. He has written widely on Christianity in Late Antiquity and 18th-century British Dissent.
The conference will be punctuated through the day with “Songs of the Reformation” led by musician Dan Conway.
Dan Conway (BTh, Trinity Theological College) is Director of Worship at Christ Church Toronto. He was born, raised, and born again in Australia. After completing his studies he worked for seven years in congregational and university ministry in Singapore. He and his family began a new chapter of life in Toronto in early 2025. Prior to conversion Dan was a writing, recording, and performing musician.
